HOW LONG SHOULD MY SHOWREEL BE?

A rough rule of thumb suggests 3 minutes is an optimum length for a showreel, though, as with most things, there’s always flexibility. Don’t outstay your welcome but don’t sacrifice a killer scene just to fit under time!

why should i use you for casting TAPES?

I’ve learnt many things from cutting casting tapes. Firsty, not all tapes are born equal! Some can be quite involved and require overdubbing voice, or shooting both sides of a conversation separately. Secondly, most often they are filmed on phones and audio can be an issue, whether that be background noise or mic popping. I do an audio pass on all my edits ensuring they sound the best they can!

CAN I HAVE SOME INPUT ON HOW THE SHOWREEL IS PUT TOGETHER?

Of course! You can have as little or as much input as you like. If you’d like to provide a running order or notes to follow, feel free! I can also export a rough cut so you know it’s headed in the right direction!

CAN you re-edit a scene to make me more prominent?

Of course! I can trim scenes to give you maximum screen-time

I’m a talent agent, can you incorporate a ‘house style’?

Of course! If you provide branding, I can develop a house style for your clients’ showreels to follow.

What if my footage is on youtube or somewhere else?

In many cases I can download from source, though if it’s on a streaming service you may want to contact the production company and ask for a copy.
